Hi, guys!
So, today is my second day of running around to doctors; I need a chest scan, and that's it for today; today's run is short. Tomorrow I have two more appointments, not very busy either, and then there's a short break on Thursday right before the surgery on Friday. Of course, I can't say I'm completely unnerved, but I'm much less nervous than I should be. Overall, I'm calm. I'm sublimating everything; I'm so engrossed in my work on my novel that I'm completely oblivious to everything around me right now. So that's probably a good thing.
But I still need to read books for reviews, and that's something I don't have time for right now. I still have to set myself strict limits, making sure I read at least an hour a day so my reading blog doesn't die amid all this burst of inspiration. I have to keep it afloat a little. Because right now, I've completely given up on it, given how actively I've switched to writing. But I'm not complaining; I've been ignoring it for too long, and now I'm just glad it's finally starting to pour out of me with such incredible force.
Literally the day before yesterday, I got the idea for a new book, all at once, and now I've already written almost a quarter of it in a very rough draft. If I keep hammering away at it at this pace, I'll be able to write a full draft in a week. It's funny how I used to be accused in classes of coming up with my plots and writing drafts too quickly. No, I'm doing it quickly now; before, I was just warming up. And now I'm really going wild.
I don't know how successful this text is, but naturally, it seems brilliant to me now. It's extremely glassy, and I want to keep it that way. I personally generally like glassy, emotional books, so writing them is a real pleasure. And now I'm actively busy getting it all out.
This time, I didn't immediately bring the drafts from the middle to the beta; I want to observe her reaction as I read them. So I'll be patient.
Have a great day, everyone!
