Hi, guys!
I really don’t feel like working today, but I don’t have much of a choice—I need to keep at it to keep my blog afloat. So, today I still have to get some reading done—specifically, finishing the book I started yesterday—so that I can film a video review of it tomorrow. Fortunately, I already have something to post today; I previously filmed a review of some toys that were sent to me, so I’m covered for today’s content. Still, I need to keep filming ahead of schedule to ensure I have material to publish, even if I decide to take a day off. I spent a lot of time editing my text yesterday, and I need to continue that today. I’ve set a rule for myself to edit at least one page every day, but lately, I’ve been doing much more than that, so my text is coming along quite nicely.
I’ve also started getting up earlier lately—my new psychiatric medications are working, and I’m sleeping better at night. However, last night there was a massive, loud blast—yet another shelling attack by the Russians—that actually jolted me right up on my bed. It happened quite early; I was convinced it was almost morning—somewhere around 3:00 or 4:00 AM—but it was only 11:00 PM. I had gone to bed early, around 9:00 PM, so my sense of time was completely shifted; I thought it was nearly dawn, but it was still quite early. I didn’t think I’d be able to fall back asleep, but I managed to, and I ended up sleeping until morning, waking up around 8:30 AM. So, over the last three days, I’ve managed to shift my sleep schedule back by 2.5 hours. That’s actually really good—much better than what I had hoped for.
Now I need to keep this up so that my schedule shifts even further, allowing me to start attending morning yoga sessions. Even if I were to wake up at 8:30, I’d still make it to class, but I’d prefer a bit more of a buffer—ideally, enough time to walk the dog first and then head to the gym. I’ll have to see how this affects my energy levels—both before and after workouts—but I’m hoping to establish a routine where I can walk the dog, go to the gym, and still have enough strength left for work. That would be the ideal scenario. Of course, it would also mean going to bed very early. Honestly, this is exactly what I’m aiming for—it’s the whole reason I went back to see a psychiatrist—and if I can actually make this schedule work, that would be fantastic.
So, all that’s left now is to make a few adjustments: I’ll get back to healthy eating—right now I’m still eating quite a bit of chocolate, but that’s just because my period is coming up, which is also why I’m eating more in general. I’ll also get back into exercising, and after that, I’ll reintroduce music and drawing. Once that’s done, my life will look pretty much the way I actually envision it. So, bit by bit, everything will fall into place. Anyway, have a great day, everyone—I’m off to work!
