There's no telling for sure when my wife will go back to not working from home anymore. We're reasonably certain it won't be too much longer...and she needs a new car. A used new car, of course.

We didn't want to wait until the day before they called her back to work. With Covid running around, we didn't really want to go out at all. But...dealerships have dropped there prices and it didn't make sense to wait.
First we stopped at Ford Escondido. They had plenty of cars listed on their site we were interested in taking a closer look at. When we got there, it wasn't at all how they had advertised. Not many choices left of what we were hoping to see.
Kinda like that cheeseburger in the commercial.
We did test drive a Fusion and an Edge, which we really liked. Problem was the Edge is a 2013 with 62,000 miles. Not bad mileage for the year, but good luck working with the banks. We know the drill.
Next we headed back towards home, but decided to stop at North County Ford in Vista on the way. Now there was the selection we were looking for. Two Fusions stood out and we test drove both.
So....a couple grand poorer with a new payment and the lady is back on the road. I'm waiting for her to get back with our new (used) 2017 Ford Fusion so I can take pics and add them to this post.
She went with white for the color. There's the side view. I think it looks sharp.
Newer Fusions are a bit sportier looking than our old 2011. At least it is from the front view.
Clean lines in the back. Nothing too special.
Fusions have a decent amount of trunk storage space and the rear seats fold down. Now for the inside. Actually, you already saw it in the feature image. Here's a few more.

It has the on/off push button ignition, rear camera senors with rear screen view, plus a turn knob gear shift.
Last but not least, there's room for a couple of hardy souls in the back seat. You could put a small one in the middle or scrap that and use the armrest. It has cup holders if you put it down.
