Hi All!

I just made a huge upgrade to the fragments calculator feature on gumeta.web.app/calculator In this post, I’ll give an overview of the calculator, explain how it works, and why it can help you.

Motivation

Recently, Gods Unchained introduced a new daily play-to-earn reward system (DPE). Now, having a high quality shiny deck is more rewarding. However, since some cards are very expensive to shine, some players use sub-optimal cards. There's a balance between win rate and shine level, as both rank and card quality are equally important. I created this calculator to help players make better decisions. The calculations are based on the official GU document: Definitive DPE Restructure 2024

Deck Setup

example: Deck for block format with x1.2 `mode modifier` and for constructed with x1

Users can adjust all cards quality, rank and average wins per day. Multiple decks with different setups can be added.

New QOL features:
  • Meteorite quality auto adjustment: If a deck has 30 cards, the Meteorite quality will adjust automatically with other quality changes.
  • Minimum quality boost It based on lowest quality card in the deck.

Daily results

First 3 wins each day has additionaly x2 boost

This section shows a visual representation of how the fragments calculation works. Each win applies a modifier based on official GU documentation.

Days and fragment inputs also apply to the upgrade calculation

DPE Summary

Users can quickly see how much their current deck will earn over one or more days. The default conversion rate is 22 fragments per $GODS, but this can vary depending on the day or month. If fewer players are using high quality shiny decks, $GODS rewards increase. Here are some recent examples of fragments per $GODS:

  • 31/10/2024 23 fragmets
  • 26/10/2024 Saturday, 22 fragmets
  • 22/10/2024 21 fragmets

Card upgrade calculator

Deck before upgrade: 2(M) 7(S) 21(D), after upgrade: 2(M) 6(S) 22(D)

This is one of the most interesting parts! You can see how much you’d need to spend on card upgrades in your current deck and how much it will improve your DPE (Daily Play to Earn). There’s also a Card ROI feature that calculates the return on investment in days.

Deck have only one Meteorite, so after upgrade, Minimum quality boost increased to Shadow quality

My deck

I started with 10 Diamond cards, and after experimenting a lot last month, I think I’ve found the sweet spot for my DPE. My deck list isn’t perfect, but I’ve mastered it enough to consistently achieve an average of 5 wins daily in Mythic rank.

Initially, I identified some very cheap Diamond cards to boost my DPE. However, these cards turned out to be quite weak in the current meta, which caused me to derank. After that, I decided to invest in solid meta cards that are not only strong in this deck but also adaptable to other archetypes. As a result, I now have 23 Diamond cards, along with some valuable Meteorite meta cards that, while expensive, are very useful. Overall, I believe I’ve hit a good balance.

I hope this article helps you grasp the functionality of the calculator and make the best decisions for your shiny deck!

Thanks,
Templar
