Hello, everyone! My name is Imran, and I'm excited to join the "Freewriters" community here.
I'm from Bangladesh, and I currently live in Rajshahi. Professionally, I am an engineering student, but my real passion lies in writing and occasionally photography. I believe that creativity is a way to express our deepest thoughts and emotions, and I'm looking forward to connecting with others who share this belief.
Through my posts, I hope to share my work and contribute to the community. I'm especially interested in short stories and poem writing. I also want to learn from all of you, get inspired by your creations, and grow as an artist.
I also read different types of stories and writings and try to learn the core meanings in it. I also share those things that I find interesting. So, I hope others will like it too.
To finish things of I would like to share a poem written by William Ernest Henley. This short poem has inspired leaders, writers, and even Nelson Mandela during his imprisonment. It’s powerful, stoic, and full of perseverance:
Invictus
Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.
In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.
Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find, me unafraid.
It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate,
I am the captain of my soul.
