How To Make Simple Kufi Square (Freeflow) With Microsoft Excel

Kufi is the oldest type of Arabic calligraphy and comes from Kufa, Iraq. Kufi square is one kind of kufi which is like composed of various pixels.

Before we make kufi. we should first understand The Positive and Negative Rules in making kufi.
Positive: may be ended
Negative: can not be ended

And this is the chart of the letters we use in making the freeflow.

Note: the letters we use are the basic ones. while in making square we can use the letter variation.

Now, I will try to make kufi freeflow (reference in making kufi square) with Microsoft Excel.

*). Select All Cell ( Ctrl + A )

*). Home -> Format -> Column Width

*). We make for example 2.2

*). Then, we make kufi by using the highlight tool. example ( Noor: نور )
