Hello hivians,so good to be back here after a long time due to poor electricity power supply馃槀,you know how Nigeria is.
This is another week of the hive learners (week 23 edition1);
Kudos to admins and moderators for their usual interesting topics,also to members for their initiative contribution,it's a privilege to be part of this family (I'll call it a family because it's just more than a community),hmmm...sigh
This story am about to tell is a true life story of my father,it's a story he tells us and even other people most of the times to encourage weary 馃槱 minds.
He happened to hail from a polygamy family,where his Father doesn't care about children,you know all those olden days father's hennn,only care on how to marry young wives,his mum being the first wife and he was the first born.
In short, they had to leave the house with his mother and two siblings (younger brothers),to another town where they had to live in an old house with their mother.
He told stories how they had nothing,they couldn't feed two-square meal not to talk of three,they had no cloth,no shoes, nothing all.
I could remember vividly how he said there was a particular day he had to go work as a labourer where he got a mat for his mum ,she was so happy that she cried and prayed for him.
Along the process he lost his father but other wives took over the properties,while they left so little for them.
Later on he had to move to his uncle place (father's younger brother), where he had to learn an handwork (Iron Bending);some might be familiar with the work.
Alot of suffering I can't mention here at the place ,he stayed their till he grew up,he did freedom from the work and later had to move to lagos to start work, with one of friends of the same profession.
When he got to Lagos,they were 5 in a room he came to join them,and made it 7 馃槱.
He had to keep struggling hard till he got legally employed by a construction company,where he was paid well,it was during the process he got married to my mum.
Unfortunately,he lost his mum not quite long after marriage,but he really did well to make sure he dd the proper and final burial.
That didn't made him loose focus,he continued the hard work and finally became one of the respected personel in the company where he built a house and bought a car.
It was due to his hardwork he was able to sponsor all of us(children) education and made us a better person although he wasn't educated.
This is an inspiring story I would love every struggling people to emulate,do not think it's over when it's not.Never give up on yourself.
Although there might be. Storm,but there's always a calm at the end of a storm.
NEVER GIVE UP.
