Poverty is the state in which a family's essential needssuch as food, shelter, clothes, and education are not met. Other issues like inadequate literacy, unemployment, starvation, etc. can result from it.

Due to a lack of resources, a poor individual is unable to pursue an education and consequently cannot find employment. A family's health deteriorates when a parent is unable to provide enough food that is also nutritious for his family. A weak person lacks the drive needed to complete the task. A jobless individual merely continues to be impoverished. As a result, we might assert that poverty is the underlying cause of other many issues.

According to my knowledge and precious educational research here are some of countries where most population are living in poverty;India, Nigeria, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, and Bangladesh.

Reasons for Poverty to my knowledge

Poverty is a situation that can be avoided therefore i will say it is man-made; it is not natural. The aforementioned claim is accurate because poverty typically has human-made causes. Although there are several factors that contribute to poverty, population is the main one.

Population growth is taxing nations' resources and financial resources. Governments are having trouble feeding, housing, and employing the growing population.

Other factors include a lack of education, conflict, natural disasters, a lack of jobs, inadequate infrastructure, political unrest, etc. For instance, when job prospects are scarce, a person loses his job, is unable to make enough money to provide for his family's basic needs, and falls into poverty.

A person who lacks education must take lower paying occupations, which makes him poorer. Because of a lack of infrastructure, industries cannot exist in a nation, this leaves few job prospects. Floods and earthquakes are examples of natural calamities that exacerbate poverty.

A protracted civil war in several nations, especially in Africa and Asia where war is their priority, has rendered poverty endemic. This is due to the fact that all resources and funds are being diverted from public welfare to fund the war. Natural disasters like cyclones, etc. are common in nations like India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, etc. Each year, these catastrophes increase poverty.

Consequences of Poverty

A impoverished family experiences the effects of poverty. Poor people struggle to consume healthy food and nutrition, which affects their ability to work. He becomes poorer as a result of his diminished ability to work. Children from low-income families never receive adequate nourishment or education.

Their childhood is destroyed since they have to work to support their family. Some of them might even be involved in crimes like robbery, murder, or theft.

A poor person is compelled to live in filthy conditions in slums while remaining illiterate. He frequently gets sick and his health declines in slums because there are inadequate drinking water and sanitary facilities. A person who is destitute typically passes away young. Therefore, poverty is a factor in all societal ills.

How a to curb poverty in developing nations (in my view as a farmer)

To end poverty in developing and fast rising nation, the government should conduct a number of actions. Some of them include;

Population control : illustration as being done in china, government can dictate number of child(ren) a family is expected to give birth to,they could encourage family planning or distribution of free protection to families to reduce population.
Opening up work opportunities; for example a little more than 60% of people in africa still rely on agriculture for their livelihood.
To encourage agriculture in africa, the government should implement a number of policies.
In our nation, the government could also build dams and canals to make it simple to access water for irrigation. The government should also ensure that farming supplies like seeds and equipment are inexpensively available.

In instead of growing food crops, the government should encourage the cultivation of cash crops like cotton. To increase employment, the government is pushing industry in urban areas.
The government can also implement"Ration stores." Other initiatives include giving poor individuals with subsidized housing, free and obligatory education for children up to the age of 10, scholarships for deserving students from low-income backgrounds, etc.

Although poverty is a social ill, we can help to reduce it. For instance, we can simply donate used clothing to those in need or finance a child's education or make use of our downtime by tutoring underachieving students. Consider that someone is still sleeping hungry before you waste food.

Don't undervalue what you have to offer; it's not too little for the poor!
let's all try and cultivate the habit of giving, people are dying due to poverty!
