Yesterday, my aunt invited us to go out to a nearby mall to get some ice cream. I love ice cream, so I was very happy to go..
It was a nice place I had not visited before and I was gladly surprised by an interesting detail in one of the flavors they offer.
In Venezuela people always boast about us having the best chocolate in the world. I mean, I guess every country thinks they make the best... whatever they make and they think is the best 馃槝 but I found it very reasuring that they offer this particular variety so distinctly identified. I felt so proud!
I also felt bad because in Venezuela the average person cannot go out and enjoy a simple icecream like this one.
We had a good time, that's the most important thing and now I think I will be paying more attention to things that are offered here in Brazil and that are the result of Venezuelan talent and creativity. That sure helps lift the spirit of a people who is being discriminated in many countries (especially in Colombia and Per煤). We are more than isolated cases of crime and beggars. We are a rich culture with valuable things to offer to the world. We are just asking for opportunities to contribute to make any country we may live in better.
