It is not my confession somebody in love.
The was a virus, called I ILOVEYOU (Love letter).
In 2000 such virus attacked ten of millions personal computers
and was dedicated to crack e-mail systems.
People got electron massage with subject I love You and malicious fail attached to it.
By opening this fail (because it was curious to open it due to such subject)
computer started to send the same e-mail massage to all user's e-mail contacts.
The company I worked at ( the biggest telecommunication company in Lithuania)
that time was influenced by this virus also. Our security experts reacted quickly
and send massage to all users with instruction not to open mentioned fail.
Thus hackers didn't benefit from this virus, damages to companies were done
as mail systems due to huge amount of messages
were out of service for certain period of time. Btw, I also have got that massage.
I was very surprised at first when saw that my colleague sent me ILOVEYOU e-mail :)
Maybe someone of you also got Love letter?
