____________________________________Hello Hivers___________________________________

As I have told you at my previous posts I have moved with my boyfriend to a new house at a new city. One of the most important things about it is that I finally have a big house to set up my workspace and be able to work from home. For me it is a huge step because here I will have the time and the space to focus on working and practising with sewing. I have so many plans for this year but I will talk about them at a next post.

One of the reasons I am super excited about is that after years I finally had the chance to buy my own industrial machines with money from Hive and crypto. I bought an industrial sewing machine yamata and also a serger sewing machine yamato. Luckily I have plenty of space to put them side by side and work properly. With those two I can work more professionally with clothes and I also kept my old domestic sewing machine for decorative stitches and minor works.

As a person I have an obsession with my stuff, I want them to be in row and tidy so I can find them whenever I need them. That was a huge problem about my previous house cause I had literally everything mixed up in two boxes and every time I needed something I had to empty them and search too much. Now I have organized my stuff like zippers, threads, rulers, fashion books and markers at a cabinetwork where I can easily find everything and it feels so good.

Next to the cabinetwork I put three boxes with my other stuff. One box contains my fabrics all folded and tidy, the other contains pieces of used fabrics. The last box includes all the ready templates I worked on the previous year and their sewed samples in a row. Oh this tidiness is so satisfying.

Now that I showed you my workspace and my organized stuff, I decided for this post to deal with an old project that I had abandoned in a box and finish it so I can do a fresh start after that. I was working on some clutches some months ago, mainly as gifts for my friends and family, not something so special but I felt that I had to finish that in order to be okay with myself.

I picked a light pink thread in order to match with the zipper and winded the thread onto the bobbin.

The industrial sewing machine is much faster and different from the domestic machine that I used to work with. I will need a lot of time to practise with my new machines in order to be comfortable with them and do perfect straight stitches. So I started by sewing the lining with the outside fabric in order to have two layers. I also pinned the top of the outside fabric in order to make a straight decorative and also secure stitch.

As soon as I finished that task I stitched the sides and the bottom of the clutch and turned it to the "good" side. I am not super satisfied with the result, some stitches are not perfeclty straight but as I told you before I have to do a lot of practise with my new machines and get to know them better.

I am super excited with the fact that I will be working from my little atelier every day , having all the stuff I need in a row and fully accessible. A part of my dream finally came true and now I can start working and experimenting with many new things.

That's all from me now guys I hope you enjoyed my post. Let me know if you have any tips for me as more experienced workers, I would love your feedback.
