Today I woke up with my man and decided to enjoy our morning coffee combined with a walk at the forest instead of staying home. The weather was great and we were at a great mood so we walked like 10 minutes from our house and arrived at the forest. We used to walk our dog there everyday but we have like two years now to visit this place since we had moved to another city. At the beginning of the forest there is a spot with an amazing panoramic view of Ioannina city, the lake and the huge mountains that surround the city. As we start walking we saw some warnings about the trees that we should be careful because they are falling and many of them were cut and piled up on the edge. It felt sad to see the forest like this but I guess trees had some kind of illness and had to be cut. We kept walking inside the forest and fortunatelly there weren't so many of them cut and the scenery was as I remember it two years ago. On our path we saw two turtle buddies walking together, they were reallly cute. We found our old spot and stayed for two hours enjoying our coffees and the silence. It was great being back there after a long time I hope that illness not keep harming more trees and this beautiful forest stays as it is cause is a great source of oxygen for the city.
