Dragons
Dragons are currently my favorite splinter. This is because I have several summoners to choose from and you get to choose cards from one of the 5 standard splinters.
I usually also have Kretch but rental prices have moved out of my range at this point.
Ruleset
Mana: 32
This battles ruleset included Blast and Holy Protection.
Blast means that monsters next to the one that you hit will take some damage also. Holy Protection means that the first damage taken by a card will be ignored.
Lineup
I notice that my opponent had been using the Fire splinter for the last 5 battles. I took this to mean that they would be hitting me fairly hard with probably a lot of melee. With Holy Protection(divine shield) I would have to hit each monster several times to kill them. Thus in my mind it would be best to concentrate my fire onto an individual monster and kill them one at a time. Blast would remove the divine shield from the monster next in line.
Since I was concentrating my fire I choose
Summoner: Delwyn Dragonscale
Adding +1 magic which can bypass armor can kill monsters fast.
Since blast was included in the ruleset I needed to put some monsters up front that had higher health to last a few hits.
**Tank:Djinn Oshannus 2 magic, 10 Health, and 5 Speed with void magic.
** Second Position: Nerissa Tridawn 3 magic, 9 health, 2 speed.
Finishing out my last positions are three magic cards with low mana cost and low health. I added Venari Wavesmith to add armor to last one additional hit in addition to the divine shield.
Third Position:Spirit Hoarder
Forth Position:Ice Pixie
Fifth Postion:Venari Wavesmith

Conclusion
My opponent anticipated my use of magic and placed a card with Void Armor up front.
It took two rounds for me to kill their tank.
The battle ended in the 5th round with me taking out the rest of their monsters.
