A Junior Research Fellow (JRF) is required in an on-going project.
Role in Brief: Mechanical Design, Analysis, Assembly and Testing of a VTOL drone
Education Qualification: Bachelors in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering
Prerequisite skills and experience:
· Experience in designing and building mechanical systems.
· Expertise in Mechanical design tools such as PTC Creo Parametric/Solidworks and ANSYS.
· Knowledge in Aerodynamics. (recommended)
Job Description:
· Mechanical design of lift generating and control surfaces using CAD
· Structural analysis of the drone
· CFD to obtain aerodynamic parameters using ANSYS
· Designing various other drone components including mechanisms required for landing, etc.
· Fabrication and assembly of these components to build the VTOL drone capable of autonomous navigation

2. JRF/Project Assistant position available at MECH@IISC
JRF/project assistant to work at the Department of Mechanical Engineering at IISc Bangalore. The candidate will have an opportunity to work on exciting project(s) related to Bacterial induced precipitation and Bio-consolidation. The ideal candidate should possess:
BTech or higher degree in Biotechnology/ Microbiology or closely related discipline
Hands-on experience with microbiology experimental methods i.e., bacterial cultivation, media preparation, extraction and quantification of enzymes /secondary metabolites is highly desirable. Candidates with prior experience in studies with bacterial physiology are also encouraged to apply.
