Unironically you are right actually. Out of the thousands, almost millions (if not millions already), spent by the DHF no one ever ACQUIRED ASSETS with the funds.
No one built servers, just rented. No one registered intellectual properties. No one bought anything that can be stored and sold later, except for the racing car.
Having assets (or even liabilities that devalue but are owned) to back Hive, however little, would have been a game changer.
