Naming

The name may sound funny if you have traded crypto "back in the days". A friend was going to type the name of a big exchange, but typed "Polenx" by accident! I dare you to guess the name of the exchange he meant!

Why

For some time I wanted to create my very own Hive project. I love developing Hive apps and I have worked with the Hive internal market before, so that was a natural place to start.

Goals

I want to learn and create something useful. Building and running it will not be easy. I already spent some time getting this very basic "prototype" (it still has a LOT to improve) and with that alone I already learned quite a lot about devops and connecting multiple systems to make one project work!

So personally I am very satisfied with this challenge and how much I need to learn to keep it going!

Professionally I am not sure how to monetize it. It will for sure be a great addition to my portfolio, and if my goals are achieved I may even add quite some value to Hive as a platform.

I want to give a special thanks to @gtpacheko17 for the motivation. I knew the layout wasn't great, but thanks to your support I had the courage to take this personal project public.

It is very easy to keep developing something as a hobby and never show it to the world. I thank you for giving me the push I needed to show others what I am building.

Over the next days and weeks I will share on the @polenx account more news about development and here on my personal acccount I will share the ups and downs of working as a developer and I may even share some code.

On the Intro post shared info about the goal of taking it open source. I will finish what I think is priority first, then I will clean the code and then I will open the source code so that other people can copy it help develop, learn, and hopefully teach me!
