Foundation walls are done.

The next step of the foundation process is to fill the space inside the walls with earth. It's almost done. Four trucks were necessary to get to this point. Earth on these photos is about 1 meter thick.

The rest of the earth needed to complete this phase comes from the excavation to create the workspace under the main structure. It is moved with wheelbarrows.

Adi presents the dimensions of the workspace to Arie, Andi and me. That pentagonal room under the main space is a recent addition. It made sense on many levels to use this volume. It requires a few adjustments but it looks like it's happening.

Metal reinforcement for bond beam. This uninterrupted ring of reinforced concrete sits on top of the entire foundation. The cement will be poured at the same time as the concrete slab for the entire floor.

We're feeling the Covid-generated oxygen squeeze. Arie needs oxygen to cut the metal beams of the structure with his torch but supplies are low because of the current Covid spike in Bali. His plasma cutter can only cut 90 degree angles and using the grinder is just not efficient.
