And it's the weekend!
We have been concerned about a drone hovering around our area for a few months now. Two days ago, while we were outside, it paused for about 30 meters above our heads, as if the pilot or operator were trying to tease us.
"Do you think it recorded us?" I asked the hubby.
"Maybe," he replied.
He was the first to notice it sometime in March. He thought the drone's battery must be so good that it could fly for hours. Then he realized they must be changing it, then flying it again. Since then, I have always been on alert whenever I hear its buzzing sound and would observe what it does. It always passes by above our yard.
"I wonder if the local government is aware of that thing. It seems like it is surveying on something." I continued.
"We should try to inquire about it. I forgot to ask the town's men last week," the hubby stated. A few local officers came to check on the property boundaries as the neighboring farm was trying to register its land.
Anyway, I was so shocked the other day that I only thought about taking a photo when the quadcopter was already away from us. It was carrying something that we thought it would drop at some point, but it still flew around with it.
We think the drone was onto something. If it were just a hobby for the operator, it wouldn't be taking the same route, many times a day, a couple of times in a week (month).
We suspect the mining firm, which has been doing some drilling operations in this townlet for years, until the local people strongly condemned it and openly voiced their refusal for the operation to continue, imposing a curfew and installing a gate at the street entrance. The firm's application for permit extension (renewal) was put on hold, as far as we know.
But yeah, it is quite unsettling to have something like that hover above the property. I feel invaded. Or maybe I'm just a bit paranoid, lol!
