After a day of driving out of town on the weekend, we went for a late afternoon coffee at the Casa. It was drizzling when we arrived and at past 5, it was already very cold. The view would have been great by the balcony on the top floor but it was windy so we decided to have the corner table on the main floor. I took the liberty of opening one of the windows shortly just to take photos of the fog settled atop the hills and hovering over the village below (4th slide).

Unlike on our previous visit where there were a lot of people and a group was even celebrating a birthday by the view deck (balcony) upstairs, Sunday was empty and we were the only guests (customers). Without the country music being played on the background, it would have been really quiet.

The coffee are the instant ones by the way so there's nothing fancy. They come in packets (sachets) and are from different countries based on their packaging labels. They are displayed at the counter so choose what you want and they will prepare and serve it for you. My date went for a Cappuccino which he liked a lot while I had the Macchiato.

I realized later that it wasn't a good choice considering it was already evening and it would mean me being hyper through the night. And true enough, it made me feel heavy on the chest which lasted until yesterday (Monday). So nope, never again will I be having coffee in sachets anytime soon. But maybe it isn't really the coffee, it's just me growing old.😅

Anyway, in no more than 10 minutes, our cups were served on short and stout, clear glass coffee mugs. I was eager to take my first sip when the husband reminded me to take photos of them saying, "won't you be writing about this on Hive?" God bless my date for being him, hehe!

We then ordered dinner, enjoyed our little date that we stayed there for an hour before we drove home. It was a lovely evening well-spent to just chill and relax after our day-long adventure. The Casa is quite nice and homey and the husband likes it there. So most likely, there will be another coffee time at the same place in the future.
