Woke up in the morning without power. That's probably because of the strong winds that had been going on throughout the night. I went to bed around midnight and there was light still so it might have been cut off between then and dawn.
The husband drove off after waking me up. I wished he didn't because he knew it's hard for me to go back to sleep but he simply couldn't leave without saying a word as he'd be away much of the day or two. I stayed in bed until the sky cleared out and the wind weakened.
I got out of the house around mid morning. With power still out, it was best to be outdoors, at least to get some air. I initially thought about doing some gardening but my lazy bones said no and being a good listener, I heed to its call. (How's that for a reason, LOL!)
So I went to the backyard instead to do a photoshoot. The hydrangeas or the so-called "Water Vessel" became my subject. I've seen them bloom, wilt, thrive then flower again throughout the year but I still get surprised seeing them in their state.
Just for a quick info to share how the plant has gotten its name:
"Hydrangea" according to Wiki is derived from Greek and means ‘water vessel’ in reference to the shape of its seed capsules.
Anyway, here's to share a few more photos of some plants photographed out there. The sun is so bright which made it challenging to take better shots but as usual, just point and shoot.
The Peace Lilies are still thriving along the various plants around them. One had some discoloration on it but not much to worry about. And below is a "Busy Lily" (Impatiens). Always nice to see them bloom although this only had one.
And a caterpillar enjoying the sunshine up there. Must be cozy, huh! Like the many others, I don't even know what this plant is called. Google lens identified it as a type of lily but I'm not really sure.
And that's about for today. Nothing much really, just another lazy but a lovely Saturday.
