MetaMask has released the beta version of its own portfolio tracker. And you can either connect your MetaMask wallet or simply paste the address on the provided field.
Overview
A very basic tracker if I may say so. Here, you can see your wallet's net worth, the tokens in it, current price and their balances (both in dollar value and in numbers).
This however did not include those on DeFi. It only shows the liquid tokens in the wallet. I wonder if it's still on development.
It can track 7 different blockchains, Ethereum, Optimism, BNB Smart Chain, Polygon, Fantom, Arbitrum and Avalanche.
And it displays NFTS that our wallet holds if any.
Watchlist
Here, we can add tokens that we want to watch. It shows the percentage changes in price in 3 different timeframes, re: 1 day, 30 days and 1 year. On checking, it can track some of the [Hive]( assets too:
Other Features
Token Price Charts
Historical Charts of tokens 1 day, 1 week, 1 month and 1 year. Other details are also included such as Market Cap, Total Volume, All Time High (ATH), All Time Low (ATL) etc.Real-time Gas prices - Displays gas fees in different networks.
Hidden Tokens
We can hide tokens that we don't want to be displayed on our portfolio assets list. Can easily unhide them through the 'Settings' menu.Multiple wallets
We can add multiple wallet addresses and easily switch between them. Can view them all by switching from "List View" to "Accounts View" on the drop down menu.Currency Display - We can change the currency to be displayed and such is directly accessible at the top right hand corner of the page or on the "Settings."
Dark & Light Mode
Like most apps, one can switch between light and dark mode.
Generally, the MetaMask Portfolio Tracker's interface is okay and quite easy to navigate. But it is lacking important features like being able to track those assets that are on liquidity pools.
It may still have a long way to go compared to other tracker DApps and it would be interesting to see how it's going to upgrade and evolve in the coming months.
