I don't know what this flower is called, or whether it is a relative of rafflesia or corpse flower, but one thing is for sure... it stinks! The pungent smell it releases is suffocating, and its smell lingered for several days until the flower withered completely. I found this one in our backyard.
I woke up at four in the morning to jog with my friends when I saw this flower at the side of the road. And again, I don't know what this one is called, but all I can say is that being greeted by this flower early in the morning was enough to start a beautiful day.
This one was from my friend's garden. She was so proud when she saw the flowers bloom because it was she who planted it.
This bunch looks like a kaleidoscope, a group of purple butterflies. This was also from my friend's garden, but we also grow this in our backyard. It clings to the mango tree. A perfect example of a symbiotic relationship — commensalism. Is this a species of orchids?
Walking home from work, I saw this proud flower. Look at those widely spread petals! Aren't they attention-calling saying, "Hey! Look at me!"
Is this a bird of paradise? My bad. I'm terrible at knowing flower names.
This is called Santan in our country, and I don't know what this is called in other countries. Seeing this flower brings me back to my childhood because the first thing that comes to my mind about this is its nectar, which my friends and I used to sip from the flower as if we were butterflies when we were in primary school.
I don't know the name of this bunch 😅. I only took a photo of this because it's cute.
Pink and orange sure complement each other. This is from our neighbor's yard. I asked her if I could take a photo of her plants because it always catches my attention whenever I pass by.
