Every day, another flower bursts into bloom to delight my soul. I literally have to walk around my entire home every couple of days so that I don't miss any of them.
This Azalea is always stunning. The blossoms open steadily for two to three weeks to enjoy. It is right outside my kitchen window, and the birds love sitting in it after bathing in the birdbath underneath it.
I was hoping a Chickatee would nest in this birdhouse, but no one has yet.
Next to the pond is the new Salvia I had purchased, and it is lovely.
I will certainly save some seed from this one since the hummingbird is enjoying it.
The Korean Lilac bush is in full bloom. It always flowers right after the regular lilacs are done. I have two of these bushes, and they have gotten quite large over the years.
You can smell the fragrance throughout the entire yard. I may have to give it a trim come fall.
All the Columbines are blooming in various gardens, all different varieties and colors.
All the flowers I grew in the greenhouse have been planted, and this week hubby and I mulched all the beds.
This long garden borders the western side of my front lawn. It was full of weeds that needed to be cleaned before mulching. That took one morning to do, and that did my back in for the day.
Over the winter, the evergreen shrub took a bad hit. There are a lot of dead branches in it. I can see that it will have to be removed at some point.
Even the large holly bush had some dead branches, too. It took a lot of bags of bark mulch to cover this bed. Then we started on the gardens along the front of the house. That was enough work for both of us, then it was porch time with Mika.
She jumped right up in the chair and took a long nap. It was a tough job being a supervisor for the entire process.
Now, I'm off to the chiropractor for a nice adjustment after doing all that yard work.
