The Semperoper is the opera residence of the Saxon State Opera, an auditorium for the Saxon State Orchestra and a hall for to the Semperoper Ballett. The Semperoper was originally built by architec Gottfried Semper in 1841. After a crushing flame in 1869, the building was reconstructed by Semper, and was finished in 1878.
