Wisdom of a Voyager. (you thought you had)
You crafted a vessel.
You were eager to conquer all there was.
The eagerness that sets you a part. (you told yourself)
Just like I told myself, just like how we all did.
Timber in my palms and my heart full of gold.
I built my ship with callused hands and aching limbs.
But I hadn't seen anything yet and neither have you.
I went, I saw but it conquered me.
A hardening journey, the measure of my character.
Harsh winds and waves had me crashing on the shoreline.
Defeated, doomed, damaged and damned by dilatory differentiation.
I am rebuilding my vessel, hit the waves again, and so should you.
I write from it now and I will write to you again.
