I love the look and texture of the crocodile stitches on my first ever backpack, and in order to imprint these new learninsg into my brain, I have to start another one! This time, I like the bottom to be round just to experiment how the crocodile pattern fans out.
As I have mentioned, I got many left over balls of yarn in different colors; and I found this is the best way to put them to good use. Crocodile pattern takes up lot of yarn and once I've learn the basic steps, the bag can be done quite quickly.
The best thing about working in rounds, is that I can go as deep as I want for the bag in mind, and I can stop at any point. I had a total of 8 rounds in crocodile pattern and single crochet for the neck.
I used 5.25 cm for the hook size since it fitted best for the type of yarn I was using. The bag has a bit of weight to it and it kept the shape quite well.
So here you see My OWL BAG! It is colorful and whimsical to give to a little girl. I also crochet two pockets inside for all the little things.
Finally, I crocheted the strap and sew it on! I am pleased with the finished look and like the round bottom of this OWL BAG!
