Great Sand Dunes National Park is one of our favorite places on earth. It's been over six years at least since we last were able to get here. This time just me and my youngest. Spring break.

Just so happy to be here!!! I think it's our 6th time. Campground was closed so we did the motel thing in nearby Alamosa the first night.
Kind of windy! But you have to be ok with the wind to enjoy this place. In another month or so the snowmelt will start flowing down and families will be playing and wading in Medano creek. No water now, but also less crowded.
On our way out that first afternoon feeling excited about climbing to the top the next day. Which we did.
