The right tunnel was extensive in width. While your flashlight could allow you to see one side to the other you had a feeling if it got any wider that would no longer be the case. You were hoping this was not what you thought it was. You even checked your wristwatch a couple of times but there was no indication it was.
After about two hours of walking you decided it had been quite some time since you last took a proper break. While it was hard to tell the time in a dark cave and having a wristwatch only helped so much. Your stomach more than enjoyed the food cube you consumed like it had been quite some time since you last ate.
You only had meant to close your eyes for a moment. That was however all it took to pass out and dream about being lost in a cave that you never found the way out of again. You spent hours running around in a dark cave in that dream before you would awaken again.
For a while, you thought you were still in that dream. Then you came to your senses and realized that you were already exploring a cave. That you just wanted to close your eyes for a moment and fell asleep instead.
While you did not feel fully refreshed a quick nap was nice to have. It was however time to get off the cave floor and keep walking. You were quite certain this part of the cave was finally going to lead to something.
A few more hours passed before you noticed the path ahead of you was blocked off. The light from your flashlight was also reflecting at you. There was this massive giant metal door blocking the path ahead.
Once you got close enough you noticed there was a spot to use the dark blue ID card. Once you inserted the card and pulled it back out again the door slowly opened with an ear-shattering sound that rippled across the cave walls.
The metal door had to be 100 feet thick if not more. It appears whatever installed the door wanted to ensure nothing could ever get past it without having the proper ID card. This is also when you noticed the walls were also lined with metal as well. You had no way of even guessing how thick the walls would be.
You could also see ahead of you a reception desk. Unlike the wooden office, you found this time however there was just a single door. You walked up to it and tried to open it. It was however locked. Thankfully it accepted the ID card you had on you.
Inside the next room was something you had never seen ever in your life. There was this giant device in the middle with a bunch of metal rings around it. There was also a massive bank of what appeared to be computer monitors. Along with rows and rows of metal boxes perhaps they were the computers? You could only guess at this point.
You also noticed on the far right was a metal cage. This as well was locked and opened with the ID card you had. It had a pedestal that was connected to massive cables. It looked like it some sort of box could be placed in it.
( If you have found the Alien Artifact Box you can place it on the pedestal and move forward here. If you have yet to find it you need to search other locations of this moon and continue going down the post further.)
After examining the pedestal for quite some time. You realize you are missing something. Something you suspect is nowhere to be found in the remainder of the cave. With a heavy heart, it was time to leave this cave network and go explore other parts of the moon in hopes of finding some sort of box that would work here.
While it was tempting to want to stay behind and see what else you could learn about the room. It was clear it required whatever was to be placed on the pedestal. As nothing else seemed to do anything as you tried to trap on a few different monitors on your way out.
You turn around and started to head back out. You pass the door next to the reception desk and feel a slight breeze and hear the door close behind you on its own. You then pass the massive door and as soon you as were safe on the other side it closed behind you as well.
You walked for quite some time wondering just what and where you could find what you needed. Alas, you had reached the door to the cave to leave. Before you could even think about how you could try to get it to open. The door opened and you walked out. It then closed behind you.
It turns out it was in the middle of the night. You however knew it was not that far to get back to the landing spot. At this point, you had gotten used to wandering around in the dark and it did not take too long before you could see off in the distance the ship's lights to help guide the way.
After walking for a bit you made it back to the ship. You were covered in red dust from the cave and decided it was time to get a quick shower before passing out for quite a large amount of time.
In the morning you would have to decide what you were going to do next.
