Welcome to this weeks update about IBT Survival Island. A PC based game to be built with blockchain interactions.

Our next playable demo (test) approaches and it's looking pretty sweet.

Rye grass and yellow flower weed (capeweed) have been added to IBT. The generic grasses that came witht the editor just didn't give the terrain any justice and made it less authentic. The change over of grasses was definitely a challenge. Adding large amounts/ clumps of grass and having a performance balance at the same time was a massive headache but in the end we managed to work it out.

Just like the crafting menu story we posted last week, we are now adding the finishing touches to the inventory menu. It is vital that all items picked up/selected must display correctly and stack correctly and after all that it must save correctly. The difference with the inventory collection compared to the resources you collect for building is when collecting building resources an icon displays text stating,"Collect Wood" or "Collect Stone" etc. With the inventory items you just simply look at an item on the ground or in front of you, line up your crosshair reticule and press "E". If the item can be picked up it will dissapear and show up in your inventory. It is done this way, otherwise, while running through terrain different types of text flickers while you are looking around and it becomes quite confusing and messy.

This upcoming IBT tests will not have any AI (Artificial Intelligence) as of yet but after several meetings and cracking the bullwhip we have decide that the next test release will have some form of AI, hot and cold conditions and the introduction of some native animals.

That's it for this week.
