ibrasteem@ibrasteem - Broad fishing is a fishing activity that can be a job, a hobby, an outdoor sport or activities on the edge or in the middle of a lake, sea, river and other waters targeting a fish. Or it could also be a fishing activity or aquatic animals without tools or by using a tool by one or several anglers.

But in practice and from the results of hunting, not all fishing activities always result in a fish, fishing can also be interpreted not only to catch fish but also frogs, turtles, fish, squid, octopus, and even whales.
Fishing can be distinguished based on the nature of the game, namely:

Fishing sea water fish
Freshwater fishing

History

Fishing in the sense of catching fish has been known by human civilization since ancient times about 10,000 years ago. This is evident from the archaeological remains of the old caves in Europe that fishing activities have existed long ago with the discovery of bones, hooks and drawings and paintings in the stone age in the caves.

Fishing techniques began to vary during the Neolithic period around 4,000 - 8,000 years ago which later developed into a more modern technique and still used today. Similarly, the way of processing fish catches, this way is still done with the same technique eg fish preservation by salting or by fogging.
