Hello everyone. I had planned to go night fishing with a good friend at a large, practically abandoned pier. I left my house pretty late to head to the meeting point, but I was pumped since fishing has quickly become one of my favorite activities.
On my way there, I ran into another friend who decided to jump on the plan right on the spot. As soon as he saw me walking with my bag and gear, he dropped whatever he was doing, ran back to his place to gear up, and we both took off toward the pier. When we arrived, the setup really caught my attention. It is a huge, wide-open area now because old structures that used to be there were demolished. That same pier used to be where tourist ferries docked on their way to Curaçao and other Caribbean islands, but today it is just a quiet, ideal spot for fishing.
We immediately prepped our fishing lines, hooks, and gear before casting out into the water. The wind was hitting pretty hard, making it a bit tricky to manage everything, but that just added to the challenge. We hadn't even been there for two hours when a heavy rainstorm hit, forcing us to pack up everything and leave. We didn't even get to land a single catch, even though the fish were tearing through the bait without hesitating for a second. We walked away empty-handed in the middle of a storm, but hey, it all adds up to the experience for the next round.
Without anything more to add, I bid farewell. Stay tuned for future posts! Until next time!
