Ladies and gentlemen, boys, and girls of Hive, I introduce my Bosses to you. Alain Deccache and Joyce Woghiren.
When you spend 9 to 10hours in the office with the same set of people, especially good people, friendship is bound to be born.
Mr Alain and Joyce are two amazing people that the universe has sent to me, I met both of them in EDOGIS, I got to know Mr. Alain through Joyce and ever since then they have been a great blessing to me.
Mr Alain is one smart fellow, how his brain is able to accommodate all he knows is surprising. He is kind and the nicest boss you’d ever have. He is a good listener, even if you’re telling Mr Alain the most boring story of all time he will still listen to you regardless and contribute😂
He empathizes a lot with people, he tries to always fix things. Mind you, if you ever get offended by anybody, never you tell Mr Alain about it or else Mr Alain is ready to fight tooth and nail for you. He is that kind of person🙃
His lifestyle has taught me that leadership is not all about power, but simplicity and respect would be earned alongside. He is a very simple person, that is why everybody loves him, if he is in a position to help you, he’d do it without batting an eye lid.
Joyce on the other hand is my boss lady, the youngest HRM I have ever met and trust me she’s fire. She is a no-nonsense girl, very fierce and smart, how she climbed up the career ladder is an inspiration to any young girl that wants to make it big in the cooperate world. She does not ever mix work and pleasure; she is a professional in her field and this has presented her with so many golden opportunities.
Most importantly she is family, given that my family is not here with me in Edo State, Joyce’s family is my adopted family, I practically spent my Christmas and New year with them.
Whenever I call Joyce that I am bored and lonely in my house she would simply say ‘come to the house’, she has been so kind to me.
Being with her for a short period of time, she has taught me how to always stand up for myself. Although she annoys me most of the times, there are times when I just want to beat her up but then i remember she is still my friend and my boss so I cannot do that to her😋
Today I celebrate these incredible people that have touched my life in so many ways, just recently they did something unimaginable for me and I still haven’t gotten over it. There are no longer my bosses literally but they are now my family and I am glad we crossed paths.
I am raising a glass to more fruitful years together with them, one free from every form of drama or troubles.
