If there’s one key thing I have learnt on Hive is the importance of engagement, don’t just post and vanish, stay back, read other people's posts, comment on posts you find interesting and relatable, participate in community activities and many more then you’re good to go. Don’t get carried away by the rewards you get for your content.
When I first started Hive I was always looking at my wallet like it was going to vanish into thin air 😂😂how many HBD was added to my wallet, how much content or curator’s reward have I been able to get and how many second layer tokens have I been able to acquire over time.
After constantly going back and forth with all of these, I decided to shift my focus a bit from my wallet because I noticed whenever I commented on people’s posts I get this warmth from their responses especially people with no comment or very few comments. Honestly after posting and nobody comments on your post It can get to you, for me in my head I am like, “did I not write well?”, “nobody found my post relatable?”, so I brought it upon myself to always comment on other authors' posts and yes I have been enjoying it.

My focus shifted to constantly monitoring the number of comments I make in a week and month and trust me it was really nice. Don’t get me wrong I am not saying we shouldn’t monitor our progress by checking our wallets every now and then but it shouldn’t be your sole focus because you’d end up missing out on all the fun activities happening on Hive.
From commenting on people’s posts I started making new friends as well.
The way I read posts on Hive, one will wonder if I am reading for an exam 🙈🙈 I tend to give all my attention to whatever I am reading, I don’t want to miss out on the message the author is trying to pass across and most definitely want to learn more from the post.
I got really frustrated when PeakD stopped working on my phone because it's my favourite frontend, Leofinance too decided to mess with my emotions, I love threading and I also love to respond to other user’s threads, over there I get to meet new people and I get replies almost immediately. To top it all Ecency and Hiveblog weren’t left out of the race as I had trouble with commenting and upvoting posts and mind you my RC is 100%, these dApps wanted to end my career on Hive but I said No! 😂Not a chance!
I started shuffling between Ecency and Hiveblog, immediately one frontend starts acting up I switch to the next one while waiting for the former to work and oh boy it’s been crazy 😭 my patience level has been tested these past weeks.

Another way I show my support to authors on this blockchain is by sharing their posts on Twitter to help create visibility, I know my voting power is still small and when I upvote some people’s posts it makes no difference 😂 but notwithstanding I upvote anyways and the posts I find very interesting and original I share it on Twitter.
On Twitter I don’t just share links there to earn posh tokens No, I take my time to make the captions of my tweets as captivating and inviting as I can, the goal is to make users on Web2 to come onboard on Hive right? So yes my captions are inspired by this goal.
If you go through my tweets you’d think I am paid to advertise or market people’s posts on Twitter😂😂
I don’t just end it there, I monitor my tweets to see progress and trending hashtags to use to create more visibility.
Prior to this time I rarely use Twitter but ever since the day I succeeded in linking my Twitter account to Hive, the narrative is different.
Funny how I wanted to write about something else and I ended up with this🙊
