Hello there, my lovely Hivers! For Today's blog, I’m excited to share our 15-day immersion experience. It was a great opportunity for us to learn about business.
Day 1
Our teacher accompanied us on February 19, 2024, since we didn't know the place yet. I was nervous because I heard that the head of the office we were assigned to was very strict.
Only two of us were in the immersion program, my schoolmate JC and I. We didn’t know each other, so it was something new for me, but it was nice.
We went together with our classmates because we were divided into batches since there were many of us. We were assigned to different offices. We wore our immersion T-shirts to look formal.
We took a bus to Bogo. While traveling, my heart beat so fast because it was my first time doing this.
When we arrived, we also brought all the necessary documents, just like when applying for a job. We got our police clearance, medical certificate, and other requirements to be qualified.
One of the staff welcomed us since the head was not there. Before we could enter, we had an orientation. After that, we placed our things inside the office.
We had our lunch inside the office because we were still too shy to go out, and we have a lunch box so we didnt need to go out to bought some viand.
At 5:00 PM, it was time to go home. JC and I decided to take a stroll at the pier (pantalan) at bogo. The sun was still hot at that time so we find some snacks to eat because we felt hungry.
We found a vendor selling takoyaki, and I was curious how it tastes like so we bought some. I thought it would taste good, just like what I saw in the social media but I didn’t like it. JC liked it, so I gave her one of my takoyaki.
I told her we should take a selfie, with our takoyaki it cost P20.
While we were waiting for the bus, I met one of my classmates. We talked and shared what happened during our day on our first day of immersion.
Day 2
qq
In our immersion, we had to be at the office by 8:00 AM. Since my house was far away, I had to wait early for the bus. I usually arrived at 7:30 AM, but there were no people yet. I just stayed near the bakery beside the office.
When it was lunchtime, we bought chicken from Crispy King. Their chicken was really big, crispy, and tasty.
We looked for a place to eat and found a park, so we agreed to eat there.
Many of our classmates were also eating lunch with us since their immersion offices were nearby just within walking distance. It felt good to be with friends, eating together and sharing stories about our assigned offices.
After eating, we bought ice cream for dessert because we were still not full from lunch.
At 1:00 PM, we returned to the office and continued our tasks, given by our head, and we also must do it.
At 3:00 PM, we had snacks a pancit, It was ordered through Food Panda with our head, from a restaurant Capitancillo. It was my first time tasting it, and it was delicious, and it was perfect for pairing with bread.
At 5:00 PM, we went to DIY because jc wanted to buy some things. So we accompanied her and we found an adorable headband and tried it on.
On our way home, we met some classmates again. We talked and shared stories about their offices. They shared to us an ice cream that they'd bought in 7-Eleven and it tasted good, and I was curious.
Even though our out time was 5:00 PM, we usually went home around 6:00 PM because we wanted to enjoy our time since we deserved it after a long day of immersion.
Day 3
Another day, another task hahahahhah. I left home at 7:00 AM since the our house was far from Bogo and the travel time was 30 minutes.
While waiting, I got hungry, so I ate the bread I brought.
At lunchtime, we still ate at the same park since no one else used the spot. We started bringing our food to save money.
JC’s friend visited her because her friends missed her. They just stopped by since they also had something to do in Bogo. Their immersion office was far from ours, and they had to take a tricycle, which cost ₱15 per ride.
After eating, we bought some drinks for ₱10 to refresh ourselves.
At 1:00 PM, we returned to the office as usual. I was assigned to deposit money at Palawan Pawnshop and It was my first time doing this, so I was little nervous, but I handled it well.
At 5:00 PM, while we were going home, we passed by a thrift store (ukay-ukay). I found some nice clothes there, so I bought a blue long-sleeve shirt and pants, because Jc told it was good. But now, I don’t use them anymore.
After we bought some things at the thrift store, we went home because it was already late.
Day 4
I woke up early and waited for the bus at 6:00 AM because buses took a long time to arrive.
When I arrived, I showed JC a keychain made by my sister, @itsmemic.
At noon, we were given snacks as a reward for being hardworking. We took a selfie because we were so happy.
We took a walk and passed by the thrift store again. My classmates said a dress looked good on me, so I told JC to hold it while I took a picture of her.
We continued walking and found a fish shop. The fish were so cute and I wanted to have an aquarium, but we didn’t have money, and my father didn’t allow it.
We also found a milk tea shop and bought *chocolate cheesecake milk tea *. But the cashier didn’t hear our order properly, so they only gave us plain chocolate and I was disappointed.
When we returned to the office, we paired our milk tea with the snacks given by our head and It tasted much better.
After that, I had to deposit money at Palawan and M Lhuillier and I felt relieved doing the right thing. I was nervous but also happy because I was learning new skills, thanks to my teacher who assigned me here.
At 5:00 PM, we walked to the bus stop and decided try the ice cream that my classmate told me that it was delicious. It was only ₱20 and they said it was worth it.
We were out of breath when we arrived, but ta-da We finally got our ice cream, It was so worth it. The serving was big and I couldn’t even finish mine.
We were so happy because it was tasty and creamy.
Day 5
Same routine, I arrived early at the office and waited near the bakery until 8:00 AM.
At lunchtime, we bought food from Crispy King again. There were a lot of students eating there since it was close to schools.
We always ate at the same park, same spot. Every time I pass by that place now, I remember our moments there.
After eating, JC withdrew money from a shop, I forgot the name.
Later, I deposited money again at Palawan.
At 5:00 PM, me and jc decided to go at J&L Mall because we heard that some of the things were all affordable. It was far from our office, If we took a tricycle to J&L it would cost ₱15 each, so we chose to walk instead. It was my first time doing that, and it was a day I’ll always remember.
We tried different things at J&L Mall and laughed because we looked so cute.
Every time we found a mirror, we took a mirror selfie.
The only thing we bought was a keychain, but at least we enjoyed our time.
After that, we walked to the public market and bought tempura because we were hungry.
We took a tricycle home since we were already tired and it was getting late.
But we were still hungry, so we bought ice cream at Jollibee even though we barely had money left.
Cutie patootie!
