It is my favourite month of the year, the month signifying "we have run the race for whole year, months of ups and downs, many moments of trusting God and let's wind down and soon conclude the year with gratefulness". It is also the season of giving, remembering first and foremost God had given us His beloved Son, Jesus, to be crucified on the cross for the remission of our sins. Thankful.
This year we decided to buy 180cm Christmas tree because also I accidentally stumbled upon a super miracle good buy at RM35 for this tree. I can't share yet because the trees ornaments have yet to arrived. So stay tuned.... Meanwhile, I set up this DIY felt wall Christmas tree bought by sister-in-law @happycrazycon. We really love this tree, colourful and practical.

Then lunch at Aunt's!
I went alone to visit my Aunt for lunch last Saturday after my tuition which had been changed from noon time to morning. She looked tired again because she was still painting the grill. She wanted to change from black to white so needed few layers. But she promised me she would do it slowly and gradually. Still plenty of time, for new year.
Her Wonderful Lunch!
She happily told me she able to heed my advice of cooking lesser dishes. Yayyyy! Although she still felt weird to only see two dishes on the table instead of three. I reassured her that it was more than enough.
Steamed minced pork with preserved cabbage
Super love her Hakka steamed minced pork. A very easy cooking which only needed to marinate the minced pork with some sesame oil, pepper, salt, and some chicken stock. Added in one egg to mix with the pork. She topped with chopped preserved vegetables and brought the whole dish to steam for half an hour. Super duper natural flavours!
Stir fry prawns with cauliflower and carrots
Another simple stir fry by Aunt but very delicious due to the generous amount of prawns used. The gravy had that natural prawns seafood sweetness and combo with cauliflower and carrots, very yummy!!!
Here was my lunch, a must-have staple food, rice. She used a mixture of briyani rice and brown rice and she cooked the rice with some cinnamon sticks for extra fragrance.
We got to chat a little since I did not need to rush for afternoon tuition. She was telling me she thought it was January 2024 already and was thinking when was the Christmas Day. She thought how hilarious she was for omitting the whole month of December and she blessed her own brain for better memory. Amen!
Continue munching biscuits while chitchatting with Aunt.. Haha!
Then, she packed food for the boys and husband...snap this photo to remember her hands which worked hard for the family. Love her!
My purchases
I had come to term that this round we won't shop for new clothes for upcoming Christmas and Chinese New Year since we still have lots of clothes to wear. Husband said he could reward me a little for some items I wanted and desired. I browsed my cart and decided to buy two cute fake Crocs due to the cute jibbiz. Showing you...
And guess what, there were discounts on. So I could get two pairs for RM30.
Just want to love myself a little bit more and buying cute beautiful stuffs make me happy. Next up will be wrapping presents for people and then wait for my Christmas tree ornaments to arrive.
