Hello Splinterlands Community!
Here's another Share Your Battle! Weekly Challenge post featuring Time Mage.
Time Mages are members of the Order of the Silver Shield and close associates of the Wizards' Council. They are trusted to peer through the fabric of time and reality to foretell the future or manipulate the present by slowing the flow of time. They can also speed up the aging process of armor, causing it to rust prematurely.
Let's check the status and the abilities of this card.
Time Mage is a life rare card from the Chaos Legion Edition.
Looking at the basic stats, Time Mage has a great speed varying from 4 or 5 depending on the level but with a low health and an average magic damage.
In terms of ability, ★1 automatically gives the slow ability to reduce the speed of all enemy monsters.Progressing to ★5 will unlock the rust ability to reduce the armor of all enemy monsters.
Time Mage is best to use in low mana match and best with explosive weaponry ruleset due to the speed benefits.
Tyrus Paladium, Lorna Shine and The Peakrider are the most suitable summoner to pair with Time Mage to provide additional protection.
Recommended ruleset to pair with this card:
| Because of the slow ability and high speed, monsters with the high speed fully utilize the blast benefits considering there is no reverse speed ruleset. | |
| Gives additional protection to Time Mage while ignoring the armor of your opponents. That's MAGIC damage baby! | |
| Time Mage with a high health is really good further utilizing the debuffs abilities. | |
| Assign Time Mage in the last position to survive further in the battle. Just watch out for the opportunity attack. | |
| Low mana rounds without abilities? Time Mage can be a good choice because of the magic damage and high speed. It can last on several rounds as long as you position it on the middle to last position. |
Modifications: Armored Up, Spreading Fury

| Summoner | Tyrus Paladium | 3 | Provides extra armor to all ally monsters. |
| Front Row | Pelacor Conjurer | 2 | The combination of Pelacor Conjurer flying ability, a 4 speed and Time Mage speed debuffs surely gives a better chance for an enemy to miss hitting Pelacor Conjurer. Pelacor Conjurer can do magic reflect for magic damage in-case there is. |

| Back Row 3 | Time Mage | 4 | Magic damage bypassing the armor and providing speed debuff. The most protected monsters in the lineup as Time Mage deals most of the damage to health. |
| Back Row 4 | Feral Spirit | 3 | Protector of the rear. Due to the high speed with combination of Time Mage slow ability,a chance for sneak attack to miss. Provides a quick attack to the opponent's rear. |
