Hello Splinterlands Community!
Here's another Share Your Battle! Weekly Challenge post featuring Gargoya Scrapper. As mentioned in last week post, the approach and format were changed to detailed further the battle and to highlight the importance of the featured monster. I will keep this format from now on and will try to improve further in the future.
Scrappers despise the Chaos Legion for destroying their home. Now, they seek the knowledge to create more of their kind and, using what they learn, build more Gargoya. Across the Splinterlands, they have established workstations to grow their numbers and advance their culture, creating Gargoyas of countless sizes and varieties.
Their ultimate goal is to avenge their fallen brethren, rebuild their home, and see to the defeat of the Chaos Legion.
Let's check the status and the abilities of this card.
Judging by the first look, Gargoya Scrapper seems to be not an important card in the lineup but this card really have a good use.
Gargoya Scrapper is a below average monster in terms of the basic stats but this is not surprising given that Scrapper only cost 1 mana.
The 1 mana cost and the void ability are the two important factors why this card is a good use.
In lower league (ie Bronze & Silver League), Gargoya Scrapper main function in the battle is a filler, and a decoy for low mana cap matchup.
In higher league maybe this card performs very well due to a lot of debuffs available in higher level which can greatly reduce the magic damage resulting to Gargoya Scrapper can play a vital part in the defense.
Gargoya Scrapper is a very flexible card which can really be use in any situation as I've mentioned that this card function as a filler and a decoy.
In terms of combo cards, monsters with healing abilities can be good support to Gargoya Scrapper especially with the equalizer ruleset.
Venari Crystalsmith and Divine Healer can provide a healing support to Gargoya Scrapper when position in front while Spirit Hoarder can provide healing support when position on the backrow.
Favorable ruleset to pair with Gargoya Scrapper:

The Battle has begun! Enemy units are a combination of sneak and opportunity melee monsters and magic users.
Chaos Knight face a flying unit in the frontline and a fear on the magic damage that will be casted by the Time Mage and a Djinn Renova.
Time Mage casted a slow effect decreasing the speed of all Selenia Sky unit, Djinn Renova strengthen its allies.
"Archers prepare for attack" said Selenia.
Chaos Knight received the magic damage but then supported by Crystalsmith by casting a healing spell. The Archers and Chaos Knight defeated Pelacor Conjurer.
Celestial Harpy saw an opportunity and attacks Gargoya Scrapper but Gargoya Scrapper stands on his ground.
On the other hand, the snake hunts the chicken.
Pelacor Conjurer and Furious Chicken has been slain in the first round.
The battle continues! Another magic damage had been casted Chaos Knight. Chaos Knight were overwhelmed with the vast of magic and has been killed. Gargoya Scrapper rushed to the frontline to defend the range units.
Peacebringer killed the snake before it attacks Scrapper and Crystalsmith heals the wounds of Gargoya from Harpy.
Renova has been defeated by Pelacor Arbalest with the 2 crossbow shot.
Gargoya Scrapper smirked because of the situation. A mismatch between Time Mage magic damage against its Void ability. However Celestial Harpy is still lurking around to kill Gargoya Scrapper.
The Archer units defeated Time Mage and Stitch leech.
Finally a faceoff between Harpy and Scrapper. The first two attack were avoided by Harpy. Pelacor Arbalest gives the deathblow and winning the battle. A victory!
Gargoya Scrapper is a very cheap card that can be a filler especially in a low mana cap match when using a life element. It may not provide a good damage but in the defense department, it can be another layer of defense, a decoy and a bait.
