Hello Splinterlands Community!
I just want to share a scenario that I often encounter in Bronze League while playing my alt account in which the enemy is fond of using Llama.
Of course this strategy will not always work but on some specific condition, then this strategy can be use to defeat a Llama + Flesh Golem combination.
A Scarred Llama Mage mana cost 7 Mana, a Flesh Golem cost 6 Mana and Kron The Undying cost 10 mana.
So in order to avoid a Llama+Kron combo, the match should have less than 17 mana cap. A 13 to 16 mana cap is the mana cap where a high chance your enemy will do the Llama+Flesh Golem combination.
Of course ruleset is still in-play to predict if your opponent will use this combination. For example in below ruleset such as Keep your distance, Little League, and Unprotected will prevent you from using this strategy.
The Silent Summoner will prevent your opponent in using Llama. Who does waste a 7 mana without getting its benefit?
Some ruleset below will most probably result into your opponent to use a Llama+Golem but it depends on every individual, not everytime this is the case.
Lost Legendaries, Lost Magic and Rise of the Common ruleset will also prevent to use Krom as a combination with Llama.
If your opponent's 5 most recent match-up use Llama as a summoner consistently, then most probably they will also use a Llama on your match. If there are diversity of line-up based from the 5 most recent match, then this condition may not be true at all.
Basically the strategy is the armor repair to block attack from Flesh Golem but the main problem is the high health with healing ability. Who can do that massive damage?
Let me introduce you a Mylor, StoneSplitter Orc and Scavo Hireling Combo for a 12 mana cost. In each round this combination could damage a minimum of 5 damage and a maximum of 8 damage while the Flesh Golem could only heal 6 health at max.
For the remaining 1 to 3 mana, as long this card could cause a damage from the backrow position, it is a good option. They are as follows:
Mana Cost: 14
Ruleset: Broken Arrow
In this line-up Flesh Golem keeps on healing and attacking Stonesplitter Orc however in every attack, the Scavo Hireling will do the repair. A minimum of 6 damage which is equivalent to the Flesh Golem healing and a maximum of 9 damage if the Retalliate skill will trigger.
The strategy mentioned above is just another way on how to defeat a Llama+Flesh Golem. This might be effective in some case and ineffective in other cases as in the Splinterlands, there are a lot of possibility and combination that we as a player always try to explore.
