ACCIDENTAL MARRIAGE
She walked up to me, and said she want us to discuss something I never knew it was her mother's story and it was titled accidental marriage and right about that time it was at the verge of divorcing my husband of 5years because I believe I can't just put up with his nonchalant attitude. She began by saying what accidental marriage really means. To her it means jumping from frying pan to fire in the sense that her mother had been married to her father for the past 18years had three kids already.

They've known each other right from their college days they were so inseparable they go everywhere together, studied the same course after years in the college they decided to settle down though they are already living together has couples. But my mothers father won't give consent because she is from Ondo and not allowed to marry an indigene of Ijebu.

That was d main bone of contention, they eventually settled down but no marriage as a matter of fact they've been living together, just blessing from the family and that was all, they had their first child which was me and 2 other siblings. After 17years mum said she was leaving that their was compatibility anymore, then she started with the list; your father nag, not always satisfied, he always want couple time out, and she dosent think she wants that anymore, I was in school then so there was little or nothing I could do.

My father sent emissaries upon emissaries to beg my mother but she was bent on having her way, so she left. And few months later she was married again this time legally to a man who was a divorcee( 2 women left him already) with 6 children. She dosent mind she feels its okay, the new hubby showed her love, heaven and earth and the likes, months after he showed his true colour; die hard drunkard, a womanizer and isn't ready to spend a dine on feeding. So my mother does it all even feeding of the 6 children himself and her very own self, pack vomitous from beer overdose, nags because of other women he keeps and above all he is a wife beater...

It is indeed frying pan to fire, it dawned on her that there was no perfect man nor marriage anywhere, she couldn't go back to where she was coming from either and so she accepted fate. I termed her second marriage as the accidental sort of marriage because even though she knew Christ then she acted like an unbeliever, then I learned some certain tips from her;

👉🏻 You can't know everything about your spouse during courtship, it dosent mean they are pretending but love made it to be that way 👉🏻 To have a happy and healthy home it that Time, Patience, Love 👉🏻 Always have at the back of your mind marriage is not a bed of roses and even if they are roses has thorns underneath, so it can't be sweet all through, times will in which you will have to disagree to agree 👉🏻 Learn to accept who you are married to 👉🏻 Appreciate the good part. 👉🏻 pray about the imperfect part. 👉🏻 Allow time for change. Hmmmmn her story hit me like a thunderstorm, she has said it all I was not Just patient enough for my husband of 5years to allow him change with time, I was not even ready to accept the imperfection. I wouldn't wanna make the mistake up their then I better just stick to these advice.
