ABOUT
Have you ever had the satisfaction of grinding your levels higher than others, gathering epic loots and even beating monsters and going on raids? "The New Gate" is a manga with the elements of RPG style and fantasy setting. Well, this manga is the level that goes beyond the boundaries the game was originally designed. Here, the story has been set to the distant future 500 years later, after "The Dusk of The Majesty" was marked as the end of the old generation and the introduction of the new generation. However, the new generation seems to be lacking with common professions and crafts, also the quality of items was either scarce or forgotten.
Now let's focus on the protagonist and three of his companions.
CHARACTER DESCRIPTION
1.Shinya Kiritani:
A veteran player who has top class combat ability. He defeats the last boss in the online game "The New Gate" and releases tens of thousands of players that had been trapped inside.
After defeating the last boss, he gets swallowed up by a strange light and he finds himself inside the game, 500 years into the future.
Shinya or "Shin" for short, is a "High Human" at level 255 but hides the fact that he is way stronger than most characters and monsters. He is skilled in mostly close-combat and a little in magic, but his special class is a blacksmith. So he can enchant items of all kind. He is on his own quest to seek out info about this new world and also a way out of it. Because of the incident with the last boss, he couldn't log out from the game. So now he has to do whatever he can in order to survive in the fantasy game world.
Shin is the owner of the Tsuki no Hokora or the Moon Shrine, where he does his blacksmith work and enchant items.
MY THOUGHTS
The elements in this manga are really strong with the message and emotion. As well as the art which was drawn is, by far, very beautifully depicted with the emotions expressed by each character when we least expect it. The message is deep, easily ensnaring our own presence.
I really enjoyed this manga because it made me read it more than three times, it never gets old. Again the message in the manga felt so closely related to our reality. I hope to see the rest of the chapters and more works of the authors Yoshiyuki Miwa and Shinogi Kazanami.
