I probably owe you an apology. I likely won't give you one, because I'm not a nice person, and not-nice people don't give apologies. Also because I'm a person, and people don't give apologies when they can give excuses.
Yes, that's right. I'm just going to give an excuse and weasel out of it like some sly Hufflepuff. What? - you don't think Hufflepuffs are sly? You think that's the Slytherins? You fools. If Slytherins were truly sly, you wouldn't see them as sly or shifty looking. Anybody truly sly can get away with looking honest. See many politicians for examples.
No, it's the Hufflepuffs who are truly sly. The biggest proof is the fact that you don't believe me right now. They have you thinking that they're just a bunch of friendly buffoons - but they're really the true dark side. They just haven't committed to either sied yet - as truly sly people, they're waiting to see who gets the upper hand. If Voldemert and his followers were ever certain to win, suddenly the Hufflepuffs would be on his side. And within a month they'd be running it.
A proof to my words is the fact that in the eighth - that horrible, horrible, aftertale, The Cursed Child - in another timeline in which Voldemert is certain to win - who joins the Death-Eaters, who becomes the greatest of them but Cedric Diggory, the ultimate Hufflepuff. You have no idea what the Hufflepuffs are up to in the Muggle world, even as you read these words.
But back to the topic at hand. Why would I owe you an apology? You could ask why I didn't give you anything this past Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday, but the answer would be obvious. I don't know you, why would I give you anything?
No, the better question would be why I didn't put out some bits of my intellectual property for you to grab, like some old lady putting out milk for a bunch of mangy stray cats to fight over. You are the cats.
Well. I think this is the first time that I've referred to myself as an old lady, or to anyone whose respect I wanted to earn/keep as a bunch of mangy stray cats. Oops. Well, it's too late now (it is in no way too late now).
The answer to that question would be a bit more complicated. On Wednesday, I used up much of my only break to type up a good (in my opinion) post to... well, post. But about half an hour and 90% into typing this, there was a problem with the computer, and BAM - there went my post.
After I got over my initial disappointment, I had to laugh about the fact that I generally save my work about every 3 seconds - I've saved my work 10 times over the course of a minute of simply staring at the screen brainstorming (Please don't do the math). And yet I didn't save once over the course of all this typing, when it would have actually mattered. Oops.
On Saturday and Sunday I simply didn't have internet access. No remorse.
Oh yeah, and I'm likely going to miss next Saturday and Sunday as well. ;)
