Last night I thought to myself (really, who else would I think to?) Now that I’m posting frequently and consistently, I should actually post frequently and consistently. (I know, who woulda thunk it (@grammarnazi - that was intentionally mis-written)). I promptly proceeded to ignore that. Oops.
Well, I suppose it wasn’t entirely my fault. Part of it was intentional, I didn’t want to post 2 things in a row and flood anyone. Part of it was the fact that when I was actually ready to type, after much procrastination, of course my computer was in use. And so it went. I’d even go so far as to say it was only about 95% my fault.
But, since this is a freewrite (or is it? maybe I’m just tricking you) I have been thinking that my freewrites as of late have been a little… how do I put it… not so free. Most of them weren’t exactly random streams-of-consciousness, they had more to do with things I’d thought of, but waited to put into words until I started “freewriting.” That’s all right, but it’s not what I intended.
So, now that I’ve spent the first 3 paragraphs doing exactly that, anyone wants some pickles? Ok, I’m sorry @TheRealPaul, I kinda stole that one from you. Let’s revise that. Pizza, anyone?
But despite my inherent randomness, you’d think that by this point I’d have come up with a steady topic to use when posting. Like y’know, world domination or something. But since I told myself I’m not going to write about that (which is working ever so well) I suppose we could move on to slinkies. Shoot, I’ve already used that one.
Ok, so since I really have no idea what I’m typing right now, and I’m probably going to look up after I post this to find that I’ve signed away my free will, I suppose changing the topic in the middle of a sentence is actually fairly difficult. (See, Paul? That’s how you do it!)
Ok, I seriously need to stop calling people out in my freewrites. This is supposed to be about me, and me alone. Narcism, anyone? But in all seriousness, I’m not a very serious person, so all seriousness for me doesn’t count for very much.
Umm… Well, hats are rather useful, but I have to find a better way of thinking of random topics in the middle of freewrites, especially when I’m timing myself.
And speaking of which, I think my time is just about up. Until next time-
Hyperbole out.
Random words under text: No, I didn’t actually run out of time - I still had another 6 and a half minutes left. I was just searching for topics, and it felt like the right place to finish. As per usual, this was written freewrite-style, with nothing corrected more than 3 seconds after being typed (sorry, that's just instinctive). Pictures by a combination of pixabay.com and myself.
