In Finland it is a tradition at some farmers will plant wild flowers, sometimes with sunflowers or with scorpion weed and calendula or marigolds, and the public are allowed to come and pick the flowers. There is an attempt to provide pollen and nectar for the honey bee population. The more bees you have then it is more likely that you have successful pollination of apple trees and berry bushes. Great initiative.
