I am who I am

It’s human nature to find comfort in the thought that you were always right
But it’s also true that whatever happens to you is mostly your own doing
Comfort zones are so comfortable that you can hardly think outside the box
But your atmosphere is so limited inside the box
Ever been outside the box and back in again?
More like a home coming but the adventure outside was surely much better
Imagine a universe where we were all the same
Who would help save or write off the other?
Pretty boring it'd be

I am who I am and not even the sweetest of feelings can change me
No one chooses to be who they are or who they are not
No one really knows who they are until a couple of people tell you who you are
Some things you just can’t change
You either swallow it whole or let go
People never change they just become who they are
To change is to die ‘cause the old you is lost
But whatever it is that you’re dying for, I hope you make it to heaven
Someone once told me “Find someone you love and do everything you can for them”
I looked around and found no one but myself… and maybe someone else
