Industrial Revolution has got to be the weirdest event in human history. While it turned human fertility trend from eugenic to dysgenic, it raised average phenotypic IQ in most Western countries from the 1900s well into the 2000s (i.e. Flynn Effect). As room for improvements in living conditions diminishes, the trend in average phenotypic IQ finally reflects that of genotypic IQ.
