Figured I'd give the app Robinhood a try. I started out with buying into two companies I am sure everyone is familiar with. Ford and Twitter, I also have history with these companies being a long time customer, and my first rule to investing is invest in something you believe in. Ford has been proven to be a very strong company that is not adverse to change. They survived the auto industry depression and did not need to take the government bailout due to resilience. They have many different sectors dabbling into financial and property management, and have not been adverse to the electric vehicle becoming a huge product for society. I believe they are in it for the long run. Twitter is different, although they hit the social media market with a bang. They have had trouble figuring themselves out and making money in the past which saw a $60 share price fall below $20. Recently they have figured how to use their data for advertising and have utilized targeted advertising, which has seen a rise in shares. With everyone to the president of the United States logged into Twitter to keep up to date with communications, I think Twitter is ready to get back in the game. I believe Ford and Twitter are good buys at the current trading prices.
