Here's the principle most people get backwards when building wealth, relationships, or influence.

They lead with "what can I get from this person?"

The ancient approach — the one that shows up in the Bible, the Quran, the Vedas, the Kabbalah, the Mahabharata — flips that question on its head. It asks: "What can I give first?"

This isn't charity. It's activation.

When you give first, you're not just being generous. You're engaging the law of karma, the law of attraction, the law of reciprocity — whatever you want to call it. You're putting energy into motion. You're planting seeds that the universe is obligated to multiply back to you.

"Whatever you sow, you will reap." That's not a metaphor. It's a mechanism.

The scriptures — across every tradition — agree on this one point: what you give out comes back multiplied. Not sometimes. Always. A thousand-fold, according to the texts.

So when you're building your network, your business, your life: stop leading with your hand out. Lead with your hand open.

Give first. Then watch what returns.

What would change in your life if you started every relationship by asking what you could contribute, not what you could extract?
