Life is shorter than most people realize. It moves fast and before long you're old and ready to go. There is a great need to live your life your way, and do the things that matter most to you. If you live your life for another person, a time will come when you'll sit down, think back and regret not being yourself.

Youthfulness is sweet, it's lovely. You have the strength to do both stupid things and amazing things. It then boils down to a matter of choice. Who do you want to become? What do you want to achieve in life? What do you want to be remembered for? Until you discover yourself, and what exactly you want to do in your years on earth, then there's a great probability that when you're older you'll have so many regrets.

The truth is that time flies. And the only way you can have a life with no regrets or very little regrets, is if you take time to think about your future today. This is more serious than most realize. Call it meditation, soul searching or whatever name you choose to call it. What's important is having a clear vision of who you want to become from within.

When you do this very well, you'll find your purpose on earth. You'll realize what you're here for. That will make you one of the perhaps less than 10% of people, who know their purpose in life. Many people are just been carried like debris on a river and flowing, without them paddling the canoe of their lives themselves.

Even after finding their purpose, some people are just too lazy to put in the hard work required to achieve excellence. Nobody said that life was going to be easy. The fact is that life isn't. Those people that get ahead are those who acknowledge this fact, and understand that you only get some level of happiness in life through pain.

When it's all said and done, and you're in your old age, you want to look back at your life and smile. Whatever the outcome, because in reality, we don't control the outcome of our activities and choices. All we have is the choice to do what it takes and hope that we get the outcome we desire. When we look back in our old age, the happiness will be that we did it our way. Do that business that you want to do. The time is ticking away.
