I previously did the base with watercolor pencils, after which I mixed the hues with a wet brush just (no additional hues). During the dry time I painted the foundation with an a lot darker shading Cobalt Violet and somewhat dark at the base of the page. When the page was somewhat dry I did another layer of hues with the pencils and a last one when it totally evaporated.
I changed a few corners and features with a wet brush again which wasn't essential however you can thank my brain for that as it jumps at the chance to continually bring up regions of progress in my works of art lol.
