Me trying to get the nice scent from my best soap, hehe
I so much agree with that quote because it says so much of what I think about scents. Have you ever walked passed someone and they turned their back to look who just passed them? Most times it's because of the scent that is given off from you, it was too pleasant that they couldn't help but turn to look at you.
While growing up, I've been privileged to use a lot of soaps and detergents for washing clothes and also liquid soaps for doing the dishes. I've always been particular about the scent they give off. We have different commercial products back then and even now. I'm never too concerned about the effect of the detergent or soap on my clothes, I'm more concerned of the scent that they give to my clothes.
Not until I worked at a laundry shop before I knew there was more to just the scent of detergents and soaps both liquid and solid. Back when I newly started working there I remember using a detergent to wash a polo shirt because like I mentioned before I was more concerned about the fragrance of the detergent on the shirt. When my boss came back from where he went to, the first thing he asked me was what I used in washing the shirt.
I was very quick to reply to him because I never thought I must have done anything wrong, lol. Well, ever since then I was more conscious of what I use to wash some certain clothes so I don't end up spoiling them. Although when it comes to my own clothes I still pay more attention to the fragrance than the health of the clothes and that is because I don't make use of perfumes too regularly.
So when it comes to choosing my detergents and soaps for washing, I always go with something that is not so expensive but has a good fragrance and can last for quite a long time. I always like going for the family size of these products so I don't run out of it too quickly and that has proven to be really helpful.
Now my best product when it comes to washing my clothes is called Viva. It has both detergent and soap. They both have a really nice scent but the soap has even nicer scent than that of the detergent. So I do normally make use of both sometimes while other times I make use of just the detergent or just the soap to give my clothes the best experience, hehe.
When it comes to what I use in washing, I've decided to go for the best that is not so above minimal but it's not also maximum. I just prefer to go with what is affordable and needed at every point in time. Being a minimalist did affect my choice to an extent because there are other detergents and soap that are more nicer when it comes to fragrance and clothes protection but then since Viva is not so bad I decided to settle for that.
